First Lady as the guest of honour at the Patron’s Day at School.
This year’s Patron’s Day of school was special. First Lady – Agata Duda and other dear guests visited our school on that day. The first-graders took the oath before the flag and the relics of the school Patron, St. Stanislaus Kostka . They received from the Principal – ties which are the part of the official school uniform. After that, First Lady addressed the audience, especially the youngest pupils, emphasizing the wealth of the tradition of our school, referring to the facts of its history and famous graduates. She said that at the beginning, it is always difficult to learn, but thanks to the support of teachers and friends, of course, you can cope with all the difficulties.
On the Patron Saint’s Day were also artistic moments. It started with the first classes’ performance which involved chosen facts from the St. Stanislaus Kostka’s life. Later on, we could enjoy the performance of second-graders, who presented some poetry of Joseph Baran «Look at yourself in a drop of silence». Then the school’s choir sang such songs as “Polish Flowers”, “Only in Lvov” and school’s boys cabaret perfomed song “Family”. The school music band closed the artistic part with the “Song Kronika” and “Hymn to St. Stanislaus Kostka”.
On the school Patron’s Day, the students thanked Mr. Jacek Łepecki, who is Chairman of the Management Board of the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra “Sonata “, for their trip to Toruń. Representatives of the Student Council awarded to Mr. Łepecki a memorable icon of the Archangel Gabriel.
St. Stanislaw Kostka is an excellent example, showing us how to follow one – although very demanding – way. The presence of the First Lady at the celebration of the Saint Patron’s Day is a special prize for the youngest students who took solemn oath before First Lady of Poland. This honour is given to just few.
